Allan Davies is a consultant in Higher Education Art and Design. Prior to this he was a Senior Adviser at the Higher Education Academy and before that he was Director of the Centre for Learning in Art and Design (CLTAD) at the University of the Arts. He is a QAA reviewer and was a member of the original QAA Subject Benchmark Statement for Art and Design panel. |

Richard Siegesmund is Professor and Head of Art+Design Education at Northern Illinois University. He holds a Ph.D. in Art Education from Stanford University. From 2011-2011 he served at the University of Georgia, Lamar Dodd School of Art. His scholarship deals with arts-based research methodology, aesthetics as a philosophy of care, and how these research directions lead to a new conception of visual literacy as a fundamental human skill. |
